Experience the splendor and tradition of Christmas in Old Town...
Festivities begin Friday, December 2nd at 6pm with the Illumination Walk from the Visitors Center to the Courthouse, the arrival of Santa, the lighting of the Old Town Christmas tree, and the opening of GumDrop Square.
Stroll down Main Street from 6- 9 PM, (and again on Friday, Dec. 9th), enjoying carolers, orchestras, choirs, merchant open houses, a live nativity, food trolleys with hot cocoa and fresh roasted chestnuts, and horse drawn hayrides.
Join us Saturday, December 3rd, 10 AM, for the 25th anniversary of the Warrenton Christmas parade & 3rd annual "Season of Giving" project. Media personality Willard Scott, will be our grand marshall! Welcome Santa as he makes his grand entrance atop a Warrenton fire engine! The parade starts at Fifth Street on Main, continues up to the court house, and down Waterloo to Chestnut Street. (Be sure to bring some change or dollar bills and look for our elves with big red Christmas stockings walking the parade route, and join in the "Season of Giving" project.)
Chilly? Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies in front of the Fauquier County library (Winchester St) - before, during or after the parade (9:30 – 11:30 a.m.) Stop back after the parade to make Christmas crafts from 11 - 1 p.m. Courtesy of the Friends of the Fauquier Library
Visit the award winning GumDrop Square and Santa’s Secret Shop where Santa will be on hand making his list. Visit with Santa and enjoy a complimentary photo (one per family). Be sure to have the young ones visit Santa's Secret Shop where they can do all their holiday shopping with help from some of Santa's elves. All gifts are $2 and will be gift wrapped. (Hours follow below)
Take the opportunity to stroll around Main Street and visit the specialty shops and restaurants for special gifts for those special people on your holiday list! Or enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, a cocktail, or something to eat while you enjoy the Old Town holiday spirit!

Monday, Dec. 12th, enjoy stories and caroling with Santa and Mrs. Claus at 7:00 p.m. at the Warrenton Library. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
