WOW members donate their time, decorations, refreshments, filled stockings or gift cards for the children, and provide framed family holiday photos to the residents. Together, WOW Members and C.T. residents decorate the facilities, and enjoy holiday music and treats. It's a wonderful evening, filled with holiday cheer!
Since 2008.September 2011 ~ Evening Under The Stars
Main Street, Warrenton is closed and decorated (lots of little lights), a brass band plays at the court house, and guests dance and socialize "under the stars". Organized by the Partnership for Warrenton, "Evening Under the Stars" is an elegant evening affair enjoyed by community members, as well as a fundraiser for downtown community events and activities like "Gum Drop Square".

The Warrenton Christmas Parade
A wonderful tradition, and a fun holiday event! WOW took over organizing the parade in 2008. In 2009, we added a community service element, called "Season of Giving". In the spirit of the season, through this project, WOW unites the community in a common cause - raising funds to provide basic necessities to those less fortunate within our community during the holiday season.
2010 Parade Beneficiary ~ The Fauquier Free Clinic ~ Giving the "gift of health". The project raised over $5500 for the Fauquier Free Clinic. Rob Marino, Fauquier Free Clinic Director, explained that with each $1 donation, The Clinic can provide $5 worth of healthcare services. So the $5500 collected will provide over $27,000 worth of healthcare services within our community! WOW!
2009 Parade Beneficiary ~ Fauquier County Food Distribution Coalition. WOW requested that the community donate funds and foods at the parade, to be distributed throughout the community through the Fauquier County Food Distribution Coalition. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, and we had to cancel the parade - not once, but twice. Thanks to our sponsors (local businesses, organizations, and parade participants), we were still able to raise over $2100 for the coalition. Foods that were to be collected during the parade were delivered directly to the Coalition.
Thank you to all of our WONDERFUL sponsors, volunteers and participants!
